Hello all,

Picked up my new Cavimanus on sunday afternoon, she is a great colour and certainly I can see much more aggressive then my late imperator.

My New Pandinus cavimanus - Red Claw O7EY7bAl,

Got her back and set up the enclosure again from scratch so she had a nice new clean home to live in.

With in a few hours she was wandering around quite happily exploring her new surroundings.

I got this shot of her right before bed.

She has been eating locusts which are pretty big but she is a fiery little critter and I don't expect her to have much trouble. If she cant catch them I will go back to crickets as they seem a little more less likely to climb out of harms reach.

Was great to watch her exploring round the enclosure last night getting her bearings and settling down in her hide. She appeared as happy as a scorpion can be!!!!

I'm looking forward to watching her progress and hope to see her re arranging things to her liking over the next few days.

Nice scorp congrats, nice pics, I know it's hard to capture the deep red in a photo. Looks like your right that it's a female from what I can see, if it's adult that is, it's hard to get a sense of it's size. In general the males tend to be a big bigger, their claws get larger, develop an indent and appear smoother.

Your set-ups looking good, she'll soon have her way with it. They're definitely a feisty species, you don't want a pinch from her! Shouldn't have any trouble taking down locusts.
