Subject: moulting scorplings 7/4/2008, 6:51 pm
My emperor scorpion has recently had some babys, she had 9 but only 2 are still with us, they have had their first moult which took about 2 weeks. I was wondering whether anyone could tell me how old roughly they are when they should have their second. Also how old should they be before you can sell them?
I am a complete novice any information would be great,

Deoends how much heat and food you give them. They would probably molt at around 2-3 months to their third molt.
Lots sell them at their first molt (2i) but many prefer to wait to their 2nd molt(3i)

if they are off mums back, take them away from her if she is the reason why the others died.
It takes time. I have now 18 scorplings...well all turning into 4I now and they all moulted at different times, some hit 3I very quickly and some straggled behind. when they are ready they are ready and you cant really put a time on it
