| Status report: successful breeding of 7i P.trans female and an unknown instar male that was sold to me as 5i (he maybe small but i guess he was sexually mature then) Breeding date: October 1, 2013 Labor date: February 23, 2014 Total gestation period: Approximately 4 months (145 days) Number of brood: 5 currently on the back, others still underneath mommy and mom is still undergoing labor  Pics soon to follow.. I'm sooooo excited weeee

I forgot to remove the male who dug up and hid somewhere and this morning i saw my female munching on a huge telson lol.. my bad >_<

| Hm...145 days is closer to 5 months than it is 4 but even 5 months is still to short a gestation period for P. trans.
Are you sure she wasn't already gravid when you got her and that your male was indeed not adult. Sub adult males can dance with females, they just don't leave spermatophores..Did you see a spermatophore?

| I got my female since she was 5i sometime in december of 2012. i believe she has an updated molting photo here. I don't think they can get impregnated at that age.
