I love these. I had a few before my hiatus and they got eaten alive by ants Sad. I had a huge ant problem back in the day.

haha! so far she's the most feisty sp i have. quick to pinch, quick to turn around and she doesnt seem to walk or run like normal scorpions do. instead, she moves in short bursts of speed. fun thing to watch really Very Happy

Cool scorp. It does indeed look like a little African flat rock scorp.

Like an inch or so. It was trying to escape. They are very superb climbers of smooth surfaces (not plastic surfaces of courses) so i almost lost track of that one. Good thing my floor's on tiles, so it's not going anywhere lol

A bit off topic but I noticed you are in Bahrain. I'm curious if there is much of an exotic pet trade (and scorps) or do you order them from out of the country?

Other than cheetahs, big wild cats, birds of prey and oddball fishes, no there is no existing exotic pet trade here. Desert tortoises are considered ordinary pets here and inverts such as scorpions are considered pests. They fear snakes here and terrapins are considered as food items.

My pets were imported from the Philippines since my dad works high up in an airline company. Native scorpions here are illegal to keep but everything else is allowable lol

Interesting. I wonder what is the rational about keeping native scorps? Is it to protect native animals or is it safety related?

Mostly safely related. Any animal no matter how dangerous as long as it has no reported casualties/fatalities in the country, is legal to keep. You know how that stands for their native scorpions and snakes as they fear those two the most than an arabian leopard that could actually eat you alive. The only law safeguarded native animals here are the sea creatures.

How well do your L. australasiae do being kept communally? There's been a lot of cannibalism going on with the 2i/3i/4i that I experimented with keeping together.

Quite well actually. I suppose because most of them are at the older instars (5i,6i,7i). L.waigiensis is actually more aggressive in a group IME and some cannibalism from them than the autralasiae. I may need to keep a closer eye on them though, after all it's only been 7 months. Who knows what might happen after a year
