Scorpions and Smoke Empty
PostSubject: Scorpions and Smoke   Scorpions and Smoke Empty11/18/2013, 4:12 am

This may have been asked before but i just wanna bump it up again. How are scorpions with cigarette smoke? I have a friend staying in for a couple of weeks and man, he's like a dragon.

Just wanna make sure they're all safe.

Thanks! Very Happy

Scorpions and Smoke Empty

I would say it depends on the ventilation for the cages the ventilation in the room and the intesity of smoke build up, and long term exposure. Long term exposure i feel if it is direct contact could be fatal. I was doing a bug collection for an entomology class and i decided to try to kill one of my bugs with cigarette smoke it was a moth and a beetle. The insects lived for about 3 days but that might be due to being sealed in a jar with no ventilation but it did not kill them as fast as i thought.

Haha! No worries, my friend is now doing his smoking at the veranda so that's like a good 20 meters away from where my pets are at. My loft is also airy and very well ventilated so 2nd hand smoke accumulation is virtually impossible to happen Very Happy
