| My new emperor scorpion i had just bought appears to be gravid. Any openions?

| Possibly, she could just be fat though. Also, I recommend a substrate change ASAP! They should be on peat or coco fiber substrate, kept moist at all times. | |

| I just had an emp that had babies. (Unfortunately she ate them all.) The last few months before she gave birth she got really thick at the rear part of her mesasoma (body) when viewed from the top looking down at her. This extra thickness was just in front of where her metasoma (tail) began. | |

I have changed her substrate to coconut fiber eco earth and moss. She is indeed gravid. Any recommendations for care of the young scorpions when they are born? | |

| The telson does look white to me also. How long is she? Could you show a pic of her next to a ruler or coin or something? | |

| She's about 3 inches long with her tail up. I'll try and get a better pic, she's very aggressive at the moment. | |

| Her main body (tip of head to where tail starts) is about 3 inches long? When she calm down a bit a good pic next to something for a size reference would help. Make sure a good view of the end of her tail is included. Check out the FAQ's in the emp section for tips. | |

| She is definitely not an adult as the end of her tail is white (see the FAQ's in the emp section). She is probably about to molt or just a bit chubby. Is she eating? | |
