| Alrighty! I'm finally getting around to posting pictures of my enclosures. I apologize for taking this long to post them. I hope you like what you see. Let me know. Desert enclosures. Smaller species. Substrate on all species is sand/excavator clay combination. Except H. cabo. substrate for that is sand/clay/peat moss mixture. A. bicolor and H. cabo enclosures are new, so substrate is in the process of drying out in this picture. Overview of sectioned off 20g long enclosure. Individual units, from left to right A. australis (pet slate rocks and cactus... Lol) A. bicolor (coming soon!) L. quinquestriatus H. caboverdensis (also coming soon!) B. leptochelys Larger desert species. Substrate is sand/clay mixture. H. arizonensis and P. trans enclosures are also new. Substrate is still drying in these pics. Overview. Also 20g long sectioned off into separate units. Individual units, left to right H. paucidens H. arizonensis P. transvaalicus Other enclosures O. wahlbergii (kinda boring. I'm gonna spruce it up and add some flora here soon.) C. vittatus. Substrate is peat moss with a top layer of top soil. | |

| I forgot to get better pictures of my Emperor enclosure. I'll try to get those posted here soon whenever I get back to my apartment. My father recently had a stroke, so I've been staying at his house taking care of him. Hence why I haven't been as active on here lately. | |

| Thanks! I have high hopes for the cactus. It's good and drought resistant, so it should work. I'm just worried about the clay suffocating the roots. Hopefully putting a little water on them every few weeks will help with that. | |

| You can aerate the water by shaking the bottle for 30 seconds. Helps add oxygen to the roots. Works well with bog plants too. | |

| That's a good idea. I will try it next time I water. | |

At the zoo I volunteer at, the Hadrurus arizonensis lives with some cactus and will drink water that collects in the leaves when the plant is watered. | |

Very cool. It seems to be working very well in these enclosures. The hens and chicks in my O. wahlbergii enclosure aren't doing so great, but that's a hard one to keep alive, it seems. I haven't had much luck with it in any application.

| Gotcha. Those H. arizonensis seem to be good about shaking mycosis, from what I've read also. They're a very hardy scorp. | |

| Ah ok. Well, hopefully the mycosis doesn't spread. Have you told the zoo it will probably be ok without the watering, just getting water from its prey? | |

| No because they have to water the plants, and I only saw them water once. It drank from every plan it could though so i don't think it minded. | |
