PostSubject: New Scorpions!   7/8/2013, 1:43 am

The other day i got two C. Gracilis, in a trade for two P. Imerators' all were 2i.

I like the idea of having a colony of these guys.
Pretty excited, these are my first scorpions that aren't emps.

Nice, I saw your post on Facebook. If you end up with 2 males or 2 females let me know i'll get you a breeder.

Thank you, their colouration and how they are pretty different than emps are what led me to getting them.

Is it the tail that's longer? That may be sexual dimorphism. Males are longer than females.

yes, legs seem longer too but definitely the tail is longer, really do hope they're male and female!

Here's a pic of C. vittatus sexual dimorphism so you can compare. The one on the left is male, the one on the right, female. Most Centruroides species have the same dimorphism.

it is very much like that, it may not be that extreme, but i have not got a really good look at them since they have moulted. would it be less pronounced at 3i?

You can't tell sexual dimorphism until 6th instar.
