Emperor and huge roach in same tank

So, hypothetically, if an emperor and a gigantic roach (like 1 or 2 in long) were sharing a habitat, what would happen??

I was at the pet store the other day and they had these gigantic things. They were abnormally large, something kind of like this



Thought about getting one or two, maybe as food, or maybe as a tank mate if they will coexist.

I don't know if my emp would eat one of these, or fight with it, or get bullied it (unlikely??). The attendent commented that it might not make a good meal because the roach has a hard exoskeleton and would be hard to cut through.

My scorpion is an adult, about 6 in.

Does anyone know what might happen?

Most likely, nothing. But you never know, your scorpion could get mad and try to kill it one day. Keeping something that big in the same tank is bound to cause stress problems. However, I think that would be cool just to keep as a pet, maybe get a breeding pair and feed the nymphs to your scorpion (When they're softer, obviously).

What that is you have there is a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach. Soetimes they are kept as pets, and sometimes used as food. Most likely the scorpion would not eat it because the hissing would scare it off.

And no one wants to scare their scorpion or roac

I actually tried to feed my emp a hisser when there was a cricket shortage during last winter (crickets kept dying during shipping due to the cold)...........the scorpion ended up pretty much ignoring the roach due to its size; and frankly speaking the roach's thick exoskeleton would have given the scorp some trouble.

I ended up keeping the roach until it gave birth......at which time I didn't have the space of proper enclosure for them.
