So....

I couldn't exactly decide... if I wanted the Andro more... or the LQ...
So I got them both;)

I picked the very notorious LQ to symbolize the closing of my collection.
Bought a new tank, and made a new design.

Here is Amidala, my female... and probably gravid;) Leiurus Quinquestriatus Smile

Take care y'all,

Joey

Your attention to detail is really impressive. I like how you've scattered small rocks over the substrate. It looks so much more natural than a basic sand substrate. Nicely done Very Happy

I like the tank you're using. Is it a branded tank or custom made?

Thank you so much.
I am happy you noticed I indeed try all sorts of subtle things to get that Natural look.
I had to make this very quickly, because I didn't plan on bringing 2 scorps home.
But I am grateful for the compliments !!
It is custom made, I picked it up at the expo today.
I personally have never seen such a beautiful design and I had to have it for my LQ.
I gave the guy my compliments.

Lol well... I think it's funny, because...
Yoda - Dagobah (terrarium 1)
Leia - Slate Rock City (terrarium 2)
Vader - Tatooine (terrarium 3)
Amidala - Naboo (terrarium 4)

But hey... it's enough now with the scorps haha, I actually am exactly content with the size and species I have now, and especially while the person who imported her said to me she probably is very gravid...

She comes frmo Egypt, is wild caught.
I always avoid wild caught, but in this case, he had so many for sale I thought about giving one a good home away from it's original habitat. I'll do my best to give her a bit back.

Little update:

I have never been very scared of a scorpion. This one has me on guard. She is extremely fast, attacks even the feeding tongs and is reacting lightning fast. I am so happy I got her. Fascinating behavior.

Decided on a small grasshopper to see her reaction. She went completely berserk. She actually started eating it before she actually took down the grasshopper. It wasn't even in her pedipalp yet....

Then she stung it and ate it in the corner. I love this species!!!!! I have never seen a scorpion this fast and aggressive in my care I am totally mesmerized. She is very active, and is fast like Lightning! I am so glad I finally decided to get this species, her behavior is so fascinating. Just now she was cleaning one of her pedipalps while I was cleaning the window... Looked awesome... Soon there will be a movie... keep tuned in:)

Hey everybody....

Amidala is molting as we speak....who would have thought that!!!
I was told she was gravid .... But I am not disappointed:)

I have hopes that the little mycosis spots on her body will disappear, and I will try to mate her in December when the next expo is around and I can purchase more scorpions:)

Loving it Smile)))

Very nice looking setup and a cool LQ! I find it hard to tell the difference between fat from molting and fat from pregnant. Hopefully those mycosis spots will go away. Let us know!
