hey,

once in a while my male G. rosea wants out of his tank

so that's when I take him out and hold him

ive held him many times but today he was leaving a web trail

ive never seen this before and I thought it was pretty cool

he start on my hand and walked up my arm to my shoulder

he left a thick sticky web trail every where he was walking

I don't know why he did this time he never did it before

from what i know, the silk trail is laid to enable the tarantula to make its way back to its own burrow..

however i didnt know males did this.

I looked in the tarantula keepers guide for an answer and it said

males wonder around looking for a mate, and they leave web to find there way back home.

no hes not close to a molt he is mature, well he could attempt a molt but it wont be succseffull
