is a Mesobuthus Caucasicus scorp good for a novice?

what is its venom level?

is it communal?

is it fast? dont want to get tag scorpion Smile

whats the size of an average adult?

Hello!

No it is not a beginners scorpion.
Buthidae member, so I would say the venom is to be reckoned with.
I would certainly look at youtube there you can see some of it's behavior.

I couldn't find much.

Only this:
Temp: 26-32
40-50% Air humidity


I would skip this species as a novice.

But that's my opinion.

i babysitted a friend's m.caucasicus a couple of months ago when she went for a vacation.

it was a 7i female about the size of a fully grown h.hottentotta, quick to sting and very skittish. she kept it in a substrate made of dried garden soil, red sand, small-grained gravel and dried grass.

wish i could've kept it forever Very Happy

yeah i know.. i only know one dealer selling m.caucasicus in the Philippines and he sells it for like PHP 1,200 ($30) for an unsexed 5i specimen. dunno he ships though Very Happy
