I'm reluctant to say this because I made a fool of myself last time I said what I think this is. But looks like a Smeringurus species probably mesaensis

I was thinking it was a Dune... Moves very fast and is a very aggressive eater. I am new to scorps and have a 1.3 goup of Emperors but this thing is only about 1 1/2" long and awesome to observe!!!

If anyone is wondering how I made a fool of myself (got to own up to mistakes) Andrew Olson posted a picture on FB of a wild scorpion on a cliff freshly molted. Caption read it was a bark scorpion but it looked just like a dune to me and not centuroides. Turns out I was wrong and it was ID’d as a C.sculpturatus the colors and angle of the picture really threw me off.

It's not, and if you responsible even if it was there's nothing to fear. My little girl is kept away from all my scorpion even the not-so-nasty ones. Althought I do occasionally put mustaches on her face
