thx y'all....I was sure from the pectines that it was a male...but i'm new to this, so I am learning still!

telson colour tells you if it is an adult.
white = juvenile
yellow = sub - adult
reddish brown = adult

But that's with emps, whereas cavimanus have black telsons even when young and adult. So, i not too sure. Go on size if i were you... How big is it?

I'd say female... I always find it easier to sex from pictures the other way up (i.e. head end to the top)
