I have no idea what that spot in! looks odd! couldnt be mould go it? But I cant imagine a tropical scorpion would suffer with that really!
couldnt be mites could it?!? but then they are on the joints normally.
it has be stumped! if anything...looks like limescale! ha!

They dont eat before a moult...not normally. but there is coming up for a moult and then there are the real few days before the moult comes....

your juvi emp could be. get a pic.

have you tried counting the pectine or i mean the hairs?
normaly female has fewer hairs than mail and male has a longer pectine also
so its easier really if you id your pet if its in adult age.
but just to tell you what a nice scorp you have there!

You can sex an emp at basically any age as long as you can get a good shot at the pectines, as has been stated before.
