Hello,
I have another m.gibbosus, that i find hard to sex.
However, have no fancy slr or any hi-res camera.
Could anyone give me some guidelines here, preferably accompanied by closeup photos?
I could use a photo of the male's and female's pendilap and a photo of the last segment of the metasoma, in both sexes.


I have also noticed that one has been moving its tail in a strange way when they are together (male?)

Moved to sexing forum.

I would say look at the proximal end of the Chela for a start.

Males have a very much more pronounced angled 'tooth' on that end and the female has a much smoother transition towards the proximal base of the Chela.
