Just like I said -- when they mature, males will have bulbous pinchers and females will be larger with a more robust metasoma.
The difference between subadult and adult in females is quite obvious. Here's a picture of a female I had with her exuvium:

Basically, when a female matures, her new tail shouldn't look like it was able to fit in the old one.
