| The white fluffy stuff is mold. It won't harm your scorps. You can put a couple of woodlice/pillbugs in there to clean it up if you want. What sort of heating are you using and how big is the tank? _________________ Each and every scorpion has it's epic tale.

| Pick of the mold with tweezers / forceps where you spot it. Most bark gets a bit of mold but its easy to clean off. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blogBe nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |

| It does look like mold, but there is a lot of it, I think the piece of "bark" looks like a mushroom? Can I just get any woodlice? Its a 2 foot tank with heat mat, should I put the heat mat on the inside? _________________ One Life...Live It!

| The bark looks like a mushroom? Can we get any pictures? Woodlice are fine . . . it's generally a good idea to breed them for a generation to reduce pesticides / parasites they may be carrying, but if you're in a hurry, they probably won't cause any problems (it's just a good precaution). Heat mats go on the outside. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blogBe nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |

The temp is no where near warm enough with the heatmat on the outside? _________________ One Life...Live It!

| If it's nowhere near warm enough, either get a better heatmat or use an alternative heat source (such as a light or heating the room). _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blogBe nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |
