Hey guys i just wanted how long do you let the silicone sealant dry before putting your scorps in? Coz i placed an acrylic division on may enclosure to divide my new H. Arizonensis slings.. I've had it made yesterday and i think it is already 2hours passed but there is still little vinegar odor (acetic acid).. Do you guys think that it would be better to let dry a little bit longer? Thanks in advance.. Very Happy

Well for me i let the sealant cool and dry for 4 hours before i place anything in it. Wash the enclosure before you add substrate etc etc. Just a precaution. Well thats how i do it.

Silicone sealant? 2wks, you don't want residual fumes

If there is any smell at all, as Ras stated... wait. One time I clear coated a wood enclosure, and even around the three week mark there was too much odor for an animal.

Sometimes the smell is gone in a couple days but "residual fumes" linger

I want to know what part of 2wks got skipped. SURE, THE SMELL MAY BE GONE IN 2 DAYS BUT THERE ARE THESE AWESOME THINGS CALLED RESIDUAL FUMES THAT CAN HARM INVERTEBRATES!
