bichirs are pretty interesting, they get about 12 to 16 inches long depending on species there also apparently the first fish to develop legs and walk out onto the land, kinda like a link in the evolutionary chain.

I love fish tanks...I've had one off and on from the time I was like 4.

I had a bunch of clown loaches and they are one of my fav fishes...some got to be well over 10 years old...if I were you I would get a few more because they are very social fish and need a few of their own kind around.

i got them at the local pet shop for 7.99 Canadian but ive seen them in chain pet shops
::cough super pet ::cough::
sold as "dinosaur fish" for 39.99 Canadian, it also depends on species there a few more species that have more color patterns then the sinagalis that i have
if your interested in them look up Ornate bichirs, they get 16 inches
