| It looks so focused in the second picture, which makes it look so goofy because of the huge piece of food in its mouth. And your local T is a mature male . . . probably won't get much life out of him. Mayhap re-release him and let him "spread his seed"? _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blogBe nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |

| Nice rattler! You're crazy as you-know-what to keep one of those! I'm guessing that you have a lot of experience with snakes like that I have a MM T and I've gotten about a year out of him so far. Every time I look in there I expect him to be dead ;x _________________ 0.2.0 P. imperator » 2.1.0 B. jacksoni (gravid) » 0.0.5 L. quinquestriatus 0.0.1 P. cavimanus » 0.0.1 S. subpinipes de haani [still scares the crap out of me!] 0.1.0 B. albopilosum » 1.0.0 G. rosea » 0.0.1 A. aviculara 1.0.0 P. regius » 0.0.2 Anolis carolinensis

| Thanks guys. The rattlers's cage is a 4x6x4ft enclosure. The snake itself is about 2 1/2ft. I'll take more pics. I haven't posted any of my completed animal room. I'm still learning how to use this camera i've had for over a year. |

| Pretty wicked. But it has calmed down a lot. At first it was all rattles. Only struck a couple times. I give it its space. Now I can go in the room and work for hours at a time and only hear one or two short rattles when I move too fast. I've had it for about a month. The longnose on the other hand is a fiesty little bugger. It likes to aim for the face. Still having some issues getting it to eat. |

| From what I've read it is insects, lizards and small mammals. I have not been able to get him to eat a pinky mouse or a cricket. I believe there diet consists mainly of lizards so he isn't adjusting to the change of diet. Any suggestions to get him to feed? |

| have you tried scenting a pinky with a lizard? wash the pinky first with UNscented soap the scent with a lizard.... preferably something from their normal habitat. |
