what would you recommend feeding emperors apart from crickets and roaches. I was thinking mealworms but i heard that they're bad.

mealworms are fine, just not as a staple diet. they are quite fatty and mostly water...

waxworms too. same as above, though. I have tried superworms but with limited success. I just feed mine crickets really.

I feed mine mostly crickets but sometimes as a treat and depending on the size of the scorpion I will either feed hoppers or locusts

Mine like roaches. I got a colony of B. Bolivenus which are producing babies to feed my collection. If the tiny nymphs get low I grab a bag of pinhead crickets. I tend to lose a couple crix in the house...roaches are much safer and easier to deal with...and they don't stink like crix...I know...roaches affraid

Generally crickets, the brown "quieter ones" if possible, I live in a flat with a no pets rule, so I keep "quiet" pets like Scorps, snakes + a Tarantula or two. The food needs to be pretty quiet too, as you can imagine. I have never had a Scorp or spider that has eaten a Locust or hopper, I have tried them, once knocked a tub of hoppers over & found out why they call them hoppers! lol!

Ive fed the giant mealworms, on occasions they have been taken, the Scorpions grab them & eat them like a sausage lol! Don't they squirm & wriggle when you pick them up!
