Here are some pics of the roaches I just got in the mail today. They are b. bolivenus, which are a lot like discoids and dubias. I got them from Dave Grimm...all 100 arrived alive and very well packaged. I was really happy to see that about 20% are adults and can start producing babies right away! Great mix of nymphs and sub adults. I am really digging these right now...have been watching them eat and crawl around for hours. Almost as much fun as the scorpions Razz

If you are sick of crickets or just want some cool looking...no mess feeders...shoot Dave an email. There really is no smell and these cannot climb glass/plastic and do not fly. I sure hope they taste good What a Face

These are such good feeders....get rid of your crickets and buy a roach colony...errr...I mean a feeder beetle colony if you have parents/squimish significant others, etc... affraid

I don't mind crickets at all.. they don't stink if you maintain the colony properly.

but roaches are the best of the feeders.

we have recently got some lobster roaches, a starter colony from a friend of ours (who also sent us some woodlice/pillbugs)

been experimenting with different foods. some have just turned into adults.

will be glad when we have a full colony going... I think the collection will enjoy them lol

It's always fun to add another feeder species . . . I picked up 25 juvenile B. fusca in November of '07 as a novelty species because they're so huge (just a little smaller than B. giganteus). Then after seeing how fast they bred, they're officially feeders. Razz The adults are great for my H. longimanus.
