I got this girl to keep me entertained and to distract me from my freshly setup dubia colony Laughing and I really need to know whether she's likely top give birth anytime soon. If she's expecting then I'll have to keep her separately in a 'small hisser' escape-proof container... For some reason the problem of babies didn't occur to me at the time Rolling Eyes. How big are these guys when they're born?

For some weird reason I can't seem to get my images to show in the post so I've put a link to the photo on my Facebook page:

^Agreed.

The only way to make a container "small hisser escape-proof" is to use a container without seams in the joints (like the silicone in an aquarium -- Kritter Keepers work great) and smear a layer of vaseline over the top 5 cm or so of the tank.

Cool! Thanks guys Smile. I wasn't really planning on getting a gravid one but she was the biggest and healthiest looking so I picked her... Better be off to buy some vaseline then seeing as I have no idea when she'll pop! We're about to move house and I don't think our landlord would appreciate little cockroaches everywhere...
