I was wondering what everyone thought about using madagascar hissing cockroaches to feed my scorp. Does anyone think a scorpion would have a tough time chomping through that hard shell? I was also curious about the nutritional value of night crawlers, anyone have any info on them?

I've fed hissers to my larger scorps; they take them down without a problem.

The only difficulty in using hissers as feeders is their slow generation time relative to other roaches.

As far as earthworms, you have no idea what they've been crawling through, so I wouldn't risk it (fertilizer, pesticide, parasites, etc.). I imagine leftovers would be quite messy as well.

Hissers are expensive - that's a fancy feast for a large scorp

someone I know used a hisser but make sure your scorp is on the large side or the hisser will be to intimidating and the scorp will actually run from it(personal exp. Sad )
