Starting a small cricket colony setup with the 3 container setup, but wondering what substrate is suitable for the first container (egg layer). Would i be able to just use eco earth? I've heard it can be used but no definate answers, whats in general the best egg laying material?

Judging from the number of reports I've read of people finding pinheads in their emp tanks, I'd say it works pretty well. Just don't let it dry out.
