The tank should be pretty damp too, not damp as in make it humid, just damp.. like youd get under a rotten log. They are pests, but also detritivores.

I feed all my slimy things mostly cucumber and lettuce, and also bits of apple. Its kinda like a trial at the beginning to find out what they really like.

well, my mums friend from moffat came up for a visit and she knows I like wierd plants, so she brought some cacti... haven't a clue what species they are, I'd like to know at least what genera they are in and whatnot so I can find out where they're from and care for the properly. so, if anyone knows what these species are or if anyone has cared for ones like these, any help is appreciated... I know the basics, no watering in winter, repotting in summer etc..

anyway, cactus No. 1;

Well I found one in my backyard that looked like it was getting ready to die. It was all dried up and had been on the move for a while judging my the slime marks. So I put him in a container with moist coco fiber. Well 2 days later I have 8 clear eggs about the size of airsoft bbs. Anyone have any info? I know they feed off of vegetation. I put a carrot in there but I don't thing that will cut it. I'll post pics when I can borrow a camera.

DILLIGAF if they don't fit! I stole a pack of seeds from my sis and planted them in a deli cup in the same mix I've come up with and am using for substrate and thus far 7 of the "at least 12" have sprouted since I took off saturday morning. actually 3 of them turned up within the few hours after I got back to the house last night. I'll post pix when the camera turns up in my line of sight again

Ok here's a question for ya.

If a Blue apple snail mates with ivory and pink apple snails... do the little snails' shells' come out multi-coloured? Or do some come out one colour and others the other colour?

cant seem to find an answer to that on the net
