got a pic? it's always good to know if it's
C. gracilis or
C. hentzi. although you are in florida and
C. gracilis is native there it's always best to err on the safe side and be weary when handling it as it's possible for it to not be one native to florida but native to central/south america or the carribean, in which case you may not be in a happy place if you get a hot sting. thus far your case sounds like a dry sting.

If I knew what I was coming back to...I may very well have stayed gone! We post FAQs because they are Frequently Asked Questions and there are more pressing matters. It was great a year and a half ago when we were progressing but now, the honeymoon is over and it's grown stagnant. I'm out of here, this place has become a breeding ground for idiots with no controls set. I'll be where the science and hobby is progressing not regressing.
