| a preview of project #1, these was a bit of confusion, but this import only contained 11 of the species i was after (only 1 gravid female, the rest were instars). I decided to pick up a few babies and the gravid female: And no it's not T. asthenes |

| Cool just found this, thought i was going insane when the post disappeared from that other thread. The only rules are: 1) only one guess per person, your first guess counts, no edited posts count 2) in order to be a %100 correct guess, the genus and species name must be correct, as must be the fact about it that makes it so unique in the scorpion world. 3) the person who is closest to having the name, and fact correct wins 4) you can guess the same scientific name as some one else if you think the fact they gave is incorrect in some way, in such an event the more correct answer wins!good luck! |

| My guess is also Tityus paraensis, the unique thing is that the males have freakishly long chela. *fingers crossed* _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blogBe nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |

I'm going to go with parthenogenic Tityus dedoslargos. I don't know if that species can even be parthenogenic, but I can't think of any other species your pic reminds me of.
What ever it is, good look with it!
Ok....apparently the posts I was replying to are now gone. |
