| I have my first real job interview on Monday. It's for a six-month internship at a paper mill, probably in process control engineering. Cross your fingers! If I get this, I can actually pay off my student loans. And maybe buy another scorpion or two. Anywho, I'm off to study up on process control. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blogBe nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |

| Got it. $4600 per month, starting as soon as I can get myself up there. No benefits, but I think I can afford to shop for insurance at that salary. The "interview" consisted of one engineer taking me to Subway, my old classmate giving me a tour of the mill, and his boss stopping buy and chatting about OSU football for three minutes. It's only for six months, but at the end of that, I can maybe stay on full-time. Which would include benefits! Or at least I'll look somewhat competent to other employers, or maybe the job market will improve. I just hate moving. :-/ By the way, paper mills are big, loud, humid, warm, and smell funny. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blogBe nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |

| Nice, congrats! Maybe you can find a rundown house like the one in Fight Club and start the Paper Street Mordax Breeding Project/Obsession - hahahaha _________________ If I knew what I was coming back to...I may very well have stayed gone! | Thanks. I'm going up to look at apartments tomorrow (my dad loaned me his car while he's in Hawaii). I've found one complex that looks pretty awesome and is within my budget. The wife of one of my former professors used to live there and told me which areas of town to avoid. I'm excited to finally be making REAL money for the first time in my life! It will be nice to have something left over after paying all the bills. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blogBe nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |

| Went apartment-hunting yesterday . . . found a potentially AWESOME place, two bedrooms, 925 square feet, and rent's only $650. Unfortunately it's not available until December 4th, which is the day I have to move out of the old place. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blogBe nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |
