i dont think that would ever happen to me lol the only pet shops i go in are excellent, and the ones i go in that could do with alot of help, the shop owners are very arrogant and think there right,

for example i once whent to a pet shop they had some baby beardies i checked the temp, they were at 90f anyone that keeps them know they should be at 115f especially when young, its on the lower end. i told the guy and he told me that if you put a dragon in a tank with a basking spot of 115f it would die, at which point i called him a prick took a book of the shelf through it at him and walked out, the book was a bearded dragon guide

well it really pissed me off cuz iv been keeping beardies without parental help since i was nine years old, there is nothing i know more about than them, and he had never kept or sold them b4 he was the regullar pet shop that seel mice n dogs n fish, he new nothing about herps, i once bout a tarantula from him he had it in a really humid tank on wet through eco earth, he also didnt knw what it was, it was a mexican red knee, so for those of you that no these species really humid isnt a good idea is it lol

When you have a whole room dedicated to them and you can't find a place to put another scorp.

i tend to find regular pet shops are really bad for that kind of stuff, but most pure reptiles and exotic ones are fairly good some are a bit missimformed though, i mean you see beardies on sand all the time which is bad, but then you see stupid stuff like emps on sand or vermiculite not wet basically being treated like a desert species.

lady have you ever been to living world in armly in leeds, you must have, or atleast heard of it its the place that have been closed down 4 times so far but keep reopening by putting the licence in another employees name.

One of the times they were closed it was for irasponsible behaviour, they fed a live chicken to a caimen during the day while lil kids were watching it.

you mean 'dying world', yeah i've been there once... wont ever go there again after i saw the conditions some of the animals were in. And on top of that they're MEGA expensive!

I've been told they keep losing their trading license but up until now i have never heard the reasons why. but after going once i can pretty much guess lol.

yea most of us call it dying or living dead world i didnt know how far the name stratched, theyv had the licence taken a few times, once for the irresponsible behavior, and all the other times were for conditions are birds and/or fish, the government couldnt care less bout the repitles and so on. Las time it was taken away they just carried on selling but for "live food only" id like to know what animal some one would by an iguana to eat, i cant beleive they are still allowed to be open, i once applied for a job there and they basically said, we already have a reptile specialist, there so called specialist couldnt even sex an adult dragon
